Who we are

Hey!

I'm Mako, and I've been playing trading card games since I was four years old. I started competing at twelve, spent my teens trading and selling cards to fund the hobby, and never really stopped. My wife Lily-Mae has been right there with me in the hobby, and for as long as we can both remember we've talked about owning a card store someday.

Beifong's Hit-House is that someday, finally happening!

Lily handles the accessories, collectibles, and TCG-adjacent finds that make a collection feel like more than just cards in binders. I handle the Riftbound side of things, which at this point is basically a full-time obsession.

Why Riftbound

When Riftbound launched I recognised it immediately for what it was. A genuinely well-designed game, built on one of the biggest IPs in gaming, with a community that was hungry for it before the first pack was ever cracked. I was not surprised by how fast it took off, I had been waiting for it!

I built this store specifically to be an early, reliable singles destination for Riftbound players. This is not a general TCG store that added Riftbound to the mix. The game came first, and the store exists because of it.

How We Price

Singles prices are updated weekly using Collectr, which tracks market values across the Riftbound singles market. I refresh both inventory and pricing on a weekly cadence to keep things as accurate as I reasonably can. (Not sure what Collectr is? Check them out here.)

Chinese and China-exclusive Riftbound cards are a different story. Collectr does not support Chinese Riftbound pricing yet, so those are priced manually using eBay sold listings and my own read on the market. Chinese exclusives are something I stock on purpose and genuinely care about. If you are looking for something specific or have questions about a particular card or variant, just reach out!

Grading Submissions

Something I am actively building toward is a grading submission service. The idea is simple: I want to make the process of getting cards professionally graded through companies like PSA, TAG, and CGC accessible to collectors who want it done properly but do not want to navigate the whole process themselves. Grading prep and submission is something I have a real personal interest in, and I want to offer it in a way that is thorough and stress-free. It is not live yet, but it is coming. I will share more when it is ready.

Where to Find Us

The store runs online year-round and I offer local delivery to the Victoria, BC area.

If you are local or just love the game, you are in the right place!
